Educational Qualification for Medical Assistant

Category Eligibility Criteria
Medical Assistant (10+2 / Vocational)
  • Passed Intermediate (10+2) or Equivalent Exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
  • Passed 2 years' Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Medical Assistant (Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy)
  • Passed Intermediate (10+2) or Equivalent Exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. AND
  • Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Valid registration from State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment is mandatory.

Physical Standards Test (PST)

Parameter Standard Required
Height Minimum acceptable height is 152 cms.
Weight Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
Chest Minimum chest circumference: 77 cms (with minimum expansion of 05 cms).
Hearing Normal hearing (able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately).
Dental Healthy gums, good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Details

10 Push Ups 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 10 minutes break on completion of running.
10 Sit Ups 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on completion of 10 Push Ups.
20 Squats 01 Minute Test will be conducted after 02 minutes break on completion of 10 Sit Ups.
