About Indian Airforce AFCAT
The two dates, mentioned above, are landmarks in the history of the Indian Air Force. On 8 October 1932, the Indian Air Force came into being and on 1st April 1954 Air Marshal Subroto Mukherjee, one of the founding members of the Air Force took over as the first Indian Chief of Air Staff. The interim witnessed the most bloodiest war in the history of mankind, for the second time-World War II. The IAF lent its support to UK during the war. KK Majumdar, one of the legendary heroes of the Indian Air Force was rated one of the twelve best pilots of the Allied Air Forces. The same decade also saw the birth of an Independent India followed by the formation of the Indian Air Force, as we know it today.
Scheme of Online Examination
The Online examination will consist of objective type questions and will be in English only for both AFCAT and EKT Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
For AFCAT Exam

AFCAT Examination Syllabus
English:- Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms and Phrases. General Awareness:- History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc. Numerical Ability:- Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams). Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test:- Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability. Standard:- The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University).
