HSSC Constable Recruitment 2026: Syllabus Vacancy Details

Written Examination Details

The test paper shall include questions from the following subjects:

  • General Studies
  • General Science
  • Current Affairs
  • General Reasoning
  • Mental Aptitude
  • Numerical Ability
  • Agriculture
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Other relevant fields / trades

Important Weightage:
• At least 10% questions shall relate to basic knowledge of Computer.
• At least 20% questions shall relate to basic knowledge about Haryana.

The standard of questions shall be such as expected of an educated person who has passed the 10+2 examination for the post of Constable.

Pattern of Examination

  • All questions shall be compulsory.
  • The question paper shall be Bilingual (English & Hindi).
  • The written examination shall be offline and OMR-based.
  • There shall be no negative marking for a wrong option filled.

If a candidate does not wish to attempt a question, he/she must fill the fifth circle / bubble in the OMR sheet.

Failure to fill the fifth circle shall result in a deduction of 0.97 marks.

In other words, for every un-attempted question, there shall be a negative marking of -0.97 marks.
