How Does SSC Self Slot Selection Work?

Follow these steps to book your preferred exam slot:

Step 1: Visit the Official SSC Website

Go to:
ssc.gov.in (or) ssc.nic.in
Choose the region if required.

Step 2: Login to Your SSC Dashboard

Use your:

  • Registration Number
  • Password (Date of Birth)
  • Captcha Code

Once logged in, you’ll see a notification for Slot Selection on your dashboard.

Step 3: Check Available Dates & Centres

You will get a list of:

  • Available exam dates
  • Time slots
  • Exam centres or cities

Availability depends on capacity. Earlier you select, more chances of getting your preferred slot.

Step 4: Choose Your Preferred Slot

Select the most suitable:

  • Date
  • Time Shift (Morning / Afternoon / Evening)
  • Exam City / Centre

Step 5: Confirm the Slot

Once confirmed, you cannot change the slot.
You will receive:

  • Confirmation message
  • Email notification
  • Updated details in your dashboard

Step 6: Download Admit Card

After slot booking, SSC will issue the admit card for your selected slot.
